Google Gears is a  browser extension that allows web developers to extend their website to their visitors offline. With this, it improves performance, and the visitor is allowed to access your website data offline based on your geographic location.

Where was this 15 years ago, when I was waiting on my dial-up connection that I was stealing from my neighbour?
