“Never mention winning. You can lose when you outscore somebody in the game. You can win when you’re outscored… Truly believe things will work out as they should, providing we do what we should… The result will not be what you want them to be, but what they should be.”
Last year, SAC (Song Association of Canada), developed a plan to legalize music sharing in Canada, in which involves a small monthly fee attached to your ISP current charges. People complained that it’s just another tax, and Canadian recording industry fought saying it’s violating the copyright law.
Now, they are taking a different approach on making it optional..
“The SAC has renewed its bid to legalize peer-to-peer file sharing in return for a levy on Internet service. The SAC is now calling for the plan to be voluntary, with both consumers and creators having the right to opt-out. ACTRA, the leading performer group in Canada, now says it is also supportive of a legalized approach with the prospect of extending the plan to video sharing.”
Was just browsing around, and I stumbled across a great article in which covers converting a PSD to XHTML/CSS. I remember first starting out web designing, and how much of a pain it was, and learning how to do it. Wish I had this resource back then.
We all know, I love finding new ways to organize things, and that I’m a social networking nut! Well, while browsing the internet, I heard a few people put a good word in for this Digsby application, and decided to give it a shot.
Digsby, combines IM, Email, and Social Networks into one client, and make’s it easier for you to organize things and keep track of it all. It has a fully customizable interface, and supports the most common networks. Not to mention, it takes up less resources then TweetDeck, Live Messenger, and Gtalk combined (my main 3 clients I always use), PLUS it supports more (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
I would recommend it to anyone who is like me, and has 5 different IM accounts, 12 different social network accounts, and 7 different e-mail accounts (Ok, maybe not 7.. but for the amount of e-mail I get it, it really feels like it).
Well, here it is.. let me know what you think about it so far. I wanted to keep it basic, and clean, so I hope I accomplished this. Still need to craft out the sidebar a little more, and the footer also.
